How to recycle

It's never been easier to recycle in Shropshire.
Shropshire Waste Partnership and our contractor Veolia Environmental Services are working hard to provide the services and facilities you need to recycle more of your household waste, more often. These include...
Kerbside collections
You can recycle from home using your kerbside collection scheme. For more information about your scheme, select the 'kerbside recycling services' link in the menu bar.
Household recycling centres
There are five household recycling centres (HRCs) in Shropshire at which you can recycle up to 20 different types of waste, including paper, cans, glass, plastic bottles, batteries, cardboard, electrical items and garden waste.
The HRCs are located in Shrewsbury, Oswestry, Bridgnorth, Whitchurch and Craven Arms.
There is also an amenity skip and recycling centre in Ludlow.
For information about your nearest recycling centre - including how to find it and information about what can be recycled there, select the 'household recycling centres' link in the menu bar.
Recycling banks
You can also recycle using one of the recycling banks found, for example, in many supermarket, pub and leisure centre car parks. To find your nearest bank, select the 'recycling points' link in the menu bar, or contact Shropshire Waste Partnership on 0845 678 9009.
Home composting
Composting at home is one of the easiest, most effective and environmentally-friendly ways of recycling green (organic) rubbish. For more information, follow the 'home composting' link in the menu bar.
