Shropshire County Council touches the lives of our customers in so many ways, and we aim to do this by providing excellent services at a time and a place to suit their lifestyles.

Ours is a major and complex business, the largest in the county, with 300,000 customers and we are always working extremely hard to make sure that we do the best for our customers.

As a result, we are one of the best performing councils in the country. The local government watchdog The Audit Commission has rated Shropshire County Council a “four star” council, that is “improving strongly” – for the second year running. This is the highest rating possible, achieved by Shropshire County Council and only 9 other councils in the UK.

But we won’t stop there. Our aim is to continually develop and improve our services, and to listen when our customers tell us that we need to do things differently.
Our overall promise is that we will always put our customers first, as we safeguard and enhance the future of this wonderful county.
