Shropshire County Council has introduced new parking charges in Ludlow to increase the flexibility for visitors and businesses in the town.
From Monday 14 January people can park on-street in Ludlow town centre for 30 minutes for just 10p. Previously the minimum charge was 50p for one hour.
The maximum time that people can park has also been increased from two hours to three hours and parking will be available on the Linney by the Rugby Club at a cost of £1 per day.
The free Park & Ride service will continue to be available form the Enterprise Park on the approach to the town.
Alterations to the machines and signs have been carried out.
Hugh Dannatt, Shropshire County Council’s group manager for traffic strategy, said: “We hope that, by introducing these changes, it will increase parking flexibility for those visiting the town.”
