Visitor parking permits available for Ludlow

Ludlow residents can now buy permits which allow their visitors to park near their home.

These permits, requested by many people living in the town, are now available to buy from South Shropshire District Council.

Residents of the Red or Blue areas can purchase three books of 10 permits per year at a cost of £10. Each permit allows a visitor to park for one day. After the first three books, subsequent books can be purchased at a cost of £50 per book.

Hugh Dannatt, Shropshire County Council’s group manager for traffic strategy, said: “These permits were requested by local residents and we hope that by introducing these it will increase parking flexibility for both them and their visitors.”
