ParkRight to be discussed at scrutiny

ParkRight’s progress, one year on, will be discussed by Shropshire County Council’s Economy and Environment scrutiny panel next week (Monday 21 January).

This meeting, tasked to monitor decriminalised parking enforcement, will look into the concerns raised about parking restrictions and the operation of ParkRight across the county.

Alan Mosley, Chair of economy and environment scrutiny panel, said: “We will be conducting an in depth analysis of the enforcement of parking orders and the operation of ParkRight, both of which have been highly controversial in some areas.

“We will also be taking a closer look at whether the parking regulations are appropriate and whether ParkRight is operating efficiently and effectively.

“I would very much encourage people to send in their comments or come along to the meeting and share their experiences of ParkRight with us. We can then use these to help shape future enforcement and operations.”

People wishing to come along to the meeting and/or make representations should contact Martin Stevens, Shropshire County Council’s committee officer on 01743 252722 or email martin.stevens@shropshire.gov.uk.
