The School Library Service:- supporting libraries, literacy and learning

The School Library Service offers a comprehensive resource and advisory service to all phases of education, pre-school to post-16, within the county of Shropshire and Telford and Wrekin.

Staff have long experience of working with schools and can offer professional, friendly advice and practical support on all aspects of library and resource provision.

Subscription to the service ensures a cost-effective, responsive and flexible service which will help to enhance literacy and independent learning across the curriculum.

The School Library Service is located at Shirehall, Shrewsbury. Please follow the link on this page for details of how to get to Shirehall and parking arrangements. Please note that there is a designated parking area for teachers by the entrance to the School Library Service.

Monday and Wednesday 9.00 to 5.00
Tuesday and Thursday 9.00 to 6.00 (School holidays 9.00 to 5.00)
Friday 9.00 to 4.00
