School meals in Shropshire
Shropshire County Council provides meals to 143 primary schools and 19 secondary schools in Shropshire. Of the 143 primary schools, 38 have freshly prepared meals delivered from a nearby school.
In addition we provide catering services to four sixth form colleges, a secondary school in Colwyn Bay, one in Telford and two independent schools.
In the neighbouring county of Worcestershire, which has no dedicated meal service provision for its schools, we provide meal services to 33 first, middle and secondary schools.
We serve around 17,000 meals per day in Shropshire with a further 8,000 per day in Worcestershire. In total we employ over 1500 staff as well as a full support team of:

- financial support
- staffing support
- health and safety
